Los Angeles, CA - The Armenian National Committee - Political Action Committee (ANC-PAC) has announced plans to host a fundraiser in support of Congressman Adam Schiff's re-election campaign on July 5, 2007 in Los Angeles. The event will be held at the home of longtime ANC-PAC supporters Harout and Vicky Marashlian in the city of Burbank. "The ANC-PAC is excited to be hosting an event for one of the best leaders the Armenian American community has ever had in the U.S. Congress, Adam Schiff," commented ANC-PAC spokesperson Ara Papazian. "Congressman Schiff's leadership on so many issues important to his constituents in California's 29th Congressional District is deeply appreciated by the ANC-PAC," Papazian added. The ANC-PAC's event will be held on July 5th at 7 p.m. Donations levels are set in the following categories; Platinum Sponsor: $2,300, Gold Sponsor: $1,000 and Individual tickets: $200. Congressman Schiff represents California's 29th Congressional District, including the communities of Alhambra, Altadena, Burbank, Glendale, Griffith Park, Monterey Park, Pasadena, San Gabriel, South Pasadena and Temple City. The Congressman was elected in November 2000 after the most costly House race in U.S. history. Prior to his election to the House of Representatives, Congressman Schiff completed a four-year term as State Senator for California's 21st State Senate District. Adam Schiff is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School. Adam, and his wife, Eve have two children, Alexa Marion and Elijah Harris.
