ANC-PAC To Host Event For Republican Congressional Candidate Howard Kaloogian

LOS ANGELES, CA - In an effort to help a third Armenian American join the U.S. Congress, the Armenian National Committee - Political Action Committee (ANC-PAC) will be hosting a fundraiser for Republican Howard Kaloogian. The event will be held in Los Angeles at the home of Mrs. Ashken Pilavjian on February 22nd. Kaloogian is running to represent over 600,000 citizens living in California's 50th Congressional District, which covers the northern portion of San Diego County. "The ANC-PAC wholeheartedly endorses Howard Kaloogian's Congressional campaign," remarked ANC-PAC spokesman Ara J. Bedrosian. "Howard has the drive, the principle, and the grassroots connection to the voters in his District needed to win this race. The ANC-PAC encourages all Armenian Americans to join us in backing Howard's campaign so that he can become a member of Congress we will all be proud of. The ANC-PAC also believes that Howard's election to the Congress will serve to shift the attitude towards Armenian American issues among Republican leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives." Kaloogian, a former member of the California State Assembly, has been a successful businessman, educator, attorney, and conservative political leader. During his tenure in the California legislature, he actively supported measures commemorating the Armenian Genocide and other initiatives of deep concern to the Armenian American community. The ANC-PAC fundraiser is being held at the home of longtime ANC supporter Mrs. Ashken Pilavjian. Individuals may either sponsor the event for $1,000 or attend for a contribution of $200.
