On November 6, 2002, a new set of campaign finance laws went into effect. Known as the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (BCRA), the law increased the contribution limits for individuals giving to federal candidates and political parties. The BCRA provides that individuals may contribute up to $5,000 per calendar year to the ANCPAC. A contribution to the ANCPAC is not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
